IBEW Locals 51, 309, 649 and 702 met with Ameren yesterday to listen to the company's presentation on their benefit proposals. The Company presented their Options Plan that included the same healthcare benefits and cost sharing as Ameren Illinois Company management employees. Ameren proposed that all employees hired on or after 1-1-18 would not be eligible to participate in Ameren's retiree medical and life insurance plans. Also presented were changes to our 401K and life insurance plans.
A copy of the proposal information is being sent to the stewards and negotiating representatives from each area. There was no action taken on any proposals by either party yesterday and we are scheduled to meet again on May 3 and 4.
