IESA STATE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING The 119 lb. 2010 IESA State Championship was an “All IBEW Affair” ! Luke Koning (38-4), son of IBEW Local 51 Journeyman Lineman Brian Koning, competed against Dylan Knisley (42-3), son of IBEW Local 1306 Business Manager Karlene Knisley in the 119 lb. State Championship match on March 13th in Dekalb. The match was a rematch from the Sectional Championship which was a challenging battle with the “win” going to Luke Koning. The stage was set with each wrestler controlling their destiny and their goal of “State Champion” in mind with this final match. The match ended up going into overtime with Dylan Knisley prevailing 4-2. Congratulations to both Dylan and Luke on their hard work and good luck in high school.
